For a while now, my kids have been attending the home depot kids workshops....they have them the first saturday every month...the kids get an apron to keep and use each month, a certificate, a little bit of flair for their apron...and it often involves a hammer...and what kid doesn't love a hammer? But I do recommend getting there early...it gets busy towards the end...and once they ran out of supplies (a tile and only the $3 tiles would complete the project - but not really bad considering its usually free) ...

And I recently found out that Lowe's has them too, only more frequently - we haven't been to one yet...but we will soon...
